Martin ZL4JH was our net master tonight after some roster swapping
Dave ZL4DK our President was away camping last week so could not make the weekly club night last week. This coming week there will be a committee meeting.
Lindsey ZL4KS gave a brief overview of last Wednesday night at the club – there was a general catch up. Paul ZL4PH and Alan ZL4XDJ caught up about the website and starting planning about how to develop this going forward this. There was some general discussion about upcoming topics for future talks at club nights by other members.
Peter ZL4LV spoke about the list of possible items on the blackboard at the club that could be consolidated next week. There is an upcoming visit to his QTH on February 1st.
Lindsey ZL4KS gave his weekly AERC report – operationally it’s been quiet this week but things are starting to get back to normal with meetings etc. ramping up again. He did take the new Tait handheld kits down to the club on Wednesday night for members to have a look at.
Repeater report – no emails with any changes reported. License applications are being worked on for APRS, aerial upgrade planning for 665 and some power increases also being worked on.
Don ZL4GR reports 915 is working well. Queenstown link has been decommissioned for now but it’s only temporary. National system has been busy with national award contesting this month.
Stewart ZL4DC reports 685 link should be up again sometime this week. 915 – Feb 4th is booked in for an investigation into what may be wrong with the aerials on this repeater.
Daniel ZL4DE was involved in the national system awards – he went to old man range in central Otago and got to 924m above sea level and into Mt Stewart and also into lake Tekapo repeater.
Lindsey ZL4KS reports the campers net on 3.613 is still running as some members are still on holiday – 9pm most nights is a good time to catch up with everyone.
