Welcome
to our Branch 30 information pages. Here you will find details about our Branch
and its proud history...
We are officially known as: "The Otago Branch of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters Inc." and were formed on the 9th August 1928 by Otago amateurs. It is a "Branch" of the parent body "The New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters Inc." which was formed in Auckland on 16th August 1926.
Our Branch call sign is ZL4AA and you will often hear this during contesting events or if you join one of our weekly VHF club nets on a Sunday night.
Like all things this section is a on-going work in progress with material being added over time. Keep an eye on our Webmaster updates for news of what has changed in this area. We acknowledge and thank Alan Gilchrist (ZL4PZ) for his efforts to collect and compile our Branch 30 history reflected within this section.
