About NZART Otago Branch 30

Branch 30 at work in 1931

Thanks for your interest in our amateur radio club!  Here you will find details about our Branch and its proud history…

We are officially known as: “The Otago Branch of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters Inc.” and were formed on the 9th August 1928 by Otago amateurs.

We are a “Branch” of the parent body “The New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters Inc.” which was formed in Auckland on 16th August 1926.

Our Branch 30 call sign is ZL4AA and you will often hear this during contesting events or if you join one of our weekly VHF club nets on a Sunday night.
